Programs in the College of Arts and Sciences lead toward the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), or Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degrees, with a major in a particular area of concentration. Some students may also choose to take a second major or a minor, and some departments offer combined bachelor’s-master’s programs.
Undergraduate applicants to the College of Arts and Sciences must meet the University’s general admission requirements. Individual programs may require additional materials, interviews, or auditions for admission; these additional requirements will be listed on the program’s website.
Students entering any of the B.A. programs offered by the College, or students interested in the Levermore Global Scholars program, will also need to take a language placement exam prior to enrolling for courses in order to satisfy the Arts and Sciences language requirement.
