Adelphi faculty Katie Laatikainen, Ph.D. was appointed to serve on the Advisory Committee of the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies.

Adelphi faculty members are taking leadership roles in United Nations programs. Katie Laatikainen, Ph.D., professor of political science and director of international studies, was appointed in March to serve for three years on the Advisory Committee of the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies.

The appointment followed a pair of prestigious lectures on the UN that she gave in February at the London School of Economics. Her Adelphi colleague Rita Verma, Ph.D., associate professor of education, served as a panelist at a UN conference, “The Role of Global Citizenship Education in the 2030 Agenda and Beyond,” at the world body’s headquarters on April 26.
